Thank goodness, the port-a-pottie did not become our mascot! (see Village History for the port-a-pottie story)
The honor of being Timberton Village's mascot belongs to the bobcat because in 2004 a bobcat lived in the woods between McKenzie and Leighbrook.
There is a "bobcat crossing" sign in the small park on Heritage Lane, placed there in honor of the bobcat that spent two days in a tree just above it that summer.
Our newsletter is also named in honor of that visitor.
The newsletter of the Timberton Village Homeowners Association is "The Bobcat".
