I think the idea of having chain link fences around the retention ponds is a good idea, and perhaps should be paid for out of the ‘reserve for uncertainties’ fund. What liability insurance does the club have if some child decides to ice skate on a frozen pond in winter, or drowns in one during the spring rains? We may not be able to keep kids from tossing rocks over the fence and into the ponds, but we can make some attempt to save their lives.
