Privacy Policy
Timberton Village Homeowners Association's privacy policy is pretty simple.
We don't use cookies, we don't collect any info from you that you do not voluntarily provide, and we never sell any information about anyone. We do not share any personal information about you unless you specifically ask us to.
Our hosting service does keep the standard usage logs which track which type of browser people are using to view this site, and the last site they were at before viewing this one, but to the best of our knowledge, those logs do not include any personal information.
About Web Site
This web site was created with Dreamweaver CS3 and is being maintained by the association using a companion product called "Contribute". The design does not use any invasive scripts or anything which would be dangerous to run on your computer. It does use some simple javascript to put a date stamp on the bottom of each page (showing the last time the page was uploaded, which presumably also tells you when the last update was). Some simple javascript is also used here and there to enable some things which are visually attractive, such as a roll over. These are known as "ActiveScript" on Internet Explorer. You can block them without imparing your ability to use the site, but you'll miss out on a few fun things if you do.
The site design is fluid, which means that it works equally well with various sizes of browser windows and screen resolutions, and is naturally printable. This means that you can easily enlarge (or reduce) the size of the type on the screen so that it is comfortable for you to view. All the links are in text (as opposed to images) for the same reason.
Although the pages load pretty quickly naturally, we have set it up so that some of the images, particularly photos, load "in the background" so that you get the meat and potatoes of the site first (i.e., the text and other main content) without waiting for the banner photos to load. If you have graphics turned off, you won't see those photos, but you will still be able to operate the site.
